At the beginning of every school year The River Refuge sponsors Backpack and Prayer in which children receive book bags filled with school supplies. This project gives us an opportunity to share school supplies with the children while praying for them and their families. 

We partner with a number of community partners in order for this event to be a success. As with all other projects we need volunteers to help with all aspects of the event from setting up to serving where needed during the event. You can donate $65 per child to cover the cost of backpack.
